SOS : Oracle On linux Segmenation fault, core dumped

I have installed RedHat Linux 6 on IBM Netfinity 5000 with ServeRAID 3L. =
After

  installing Oracle 8 for Linux (Std) oracle refuses to run. Trying to ru=
n =

  svrmgrl, sqlplus , lsnrctl or any command gives 'Segmenation fault, cor=
e =

  dumped' message. Surprisingly Linuxconf is also giving same message. =

  I unable to conclude whether the problem is with RedHat or with ips mod=
ule. =

  I did not change kernel parameters given in oracle install doc. as it w=
as =

  working with default kernel settings on RH 5.2. =
