Re: UNIX & Windows...????

I think there is another point. We when comparing Linux with Any other soft.
in the market always consider Win95 on the other side. Please keep in mind
that Win95 was NOT MEANT to serve as a hefty server machine or a soft. to
work for 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

Its an OS for the desktop. I dont deny that Linux cannot be used for that
purpose, but please keep in mind that there has to be a levelled comparison.
Truy comparing Winnt with Linux. There are LOTS OF areas where Linux beats
NT. But if you can overcome the cost factor (which I think is not a big
problem for us Indians) keep in mind that WinNT provides a very very easy
interface to do everything.

If you wanna try u can take the example of the NNTP server on WinNT that
comes with IIS. I am not advocating MS products. I am trying to tell you
that every OS has its OWN uses and flaws.

So Please do not misguide new users who may be new to using Linux and MS
products by advocating ONLY Linux. WinNT also has some good
features....which are beneficial for the newbies....

I hope I have not put up any point for more flames to develope.....
