RE: Are RPMs compatible between different distributions of Linux.



The Linux distributions which use RPMs are:
* Redhat
* SuSE
* Caldera
* DLD
* COL

and a few more...

Unless there are some specific, distribution-dependent features, RPMs
are compatiable. Like KDE.. comes in different distributions... infact
there are two different versions for Redhat Linux (5.0 and 5.2). Majorly
due to Kernel change in both version of Redhat distribution.
