It is quite easy to configure the Yamaha sound card. You can run sndconfig
and choose the OPL3/Sax drivers. It will then give you a message that the
device or resource is busy. However, it does add the required lines to
conf.modules. Then edit conf.modules and change the "dma=0,1" to "dma=0
dma2=1"

That's it.

Your conf.modules file should now have these lines:

alias sound opl3sa2
alias midi opl3
options opl3 io=0x388
options opl3sa2 io=0x370 mss_io=0x530 irq=5 dma=0 dma2=1 mpu_io=0x330
