Great post, Biju. But just one lil nitpick. There are also a couple of
different scripts: Traditional (used in Taiwan and Hong Kong) and
Simplified (used in mainland china).

Japanese has an interesting script. There are actually three different
types of letters: katakana (the phonetic letters), hirangana (used to
represent foreign words in japanese) and kanji (the ideograms).
