Hi all,
    Expecting Linux GUI to look and act like windowz
if pretty insane IMO. The only compatibility i could
think of is app level, like a office suite in Linux
should be capable of opening a office doc from
Windows.. similar stuff . thats it. I guess expecting
to press Ctrl+O to open a file is way too much into
windows.

    Also, in some of these mails i saw someone mention
that windows has workstation & server OS separate
where as Linux distros had only one which serves all.
I guess the distros go the MS way in this case. Also
we have come to an age we expect our documents to be
pretty. With Linux even though we have enourmous
amount of HOW-TOs & Man pages.. still its no where
near pressing F1 and getting a Jazzy windows help.. i
guess these are the things and things like these that
would make Linux desktop savvy.. also installers are
improving...

    Hope people don't ask that they want to see C:> or
D:> in their terminal window !!! :)
