I am from windoz background and love basic (qbasic ) because it is simple
and gives full control over the ram and ports.
But when I switched to linux about 2 year back, I was very much impressed by
perl and decided it to be my mouther tounge.
After 2 years ( not explored even 25% of perl modules ) I do not regret the
choice of perl.
I have made a few applications of industrial data logging in perl also.
