whats CSLIP??

Hello folks,
could anyone please tell me what CSLIP is, and how is
it related to PPP.
when i installed PCQ Linux 7.1, there was nothing to
do with CSLIP - but after i've recompiled the kernel,
every time i connect to the net CSLIP starts too. andi
believe it is interfering with my net connection.
how do i deselect it while compiling the kernel with
make menuconfig.
NOTE: i do not select the SLIP interface, only the PPP
stuff as modules.
