Re: ppp and eth0 prob



i am new, so take this as a 'probable' solution... which ofcourse has better
solutions..

Whenever a "default" is set for in the routing tables... ppp is unable to
set itself as the default route... this is the reason that when you disable
eth0, ppp works fine..

1. you could remove the eth0 as the default interface.. this way, you neednt
"down" eth0 ever.
2. one "real bad" way is to alter ppp scripts to 'down' and then 'up' the
eth0 interface..

but one question is, why do u need the eth0 interface, since you dont have
the machine no the network anyways...
