STL errors

Hi

I am trying to compile some C++ code on linux RH6.2 , using GCC 2.95.2
The code invlolves some STL functions and includes stl header files
like map, vector and iterator. During compilation, i get the following
error...
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/2.95.2/../../../../include/g++-3/stl_tree.h:193:

_Rb_tree_base_iterator &)

and from the source file,. the compiler generates this..

Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this?
Earlier i was compiling with an older version of GCC so i upgraded to
the latest one but i am still getting these errors.
Any help will be welcome.
