WinME-Linux Mount

Hi,

In one of the CHIP CDs there was a utility available for accessing a linux
partition through windows 98's windows explorer....
it was called:

Ext2 file system mount for Windows 95
Version 0.16 by Peter van Sebille

My problem is that i have since installed Win ME and after i run the
utility, it installs the driver, and shows the following correct
information:

****** PARTITION TABLE ******
/dev/hda1, 3012 MB, type= Bh   (Unknown)
/dev/hda2, 1090 MB, type= 5h   (Extended)
/dev/hda5, 1019 MB, type=83h   (Linux native)
/dev/hda6,   70 MB, type=82h   (Linux swap)
/dev/hdb1, 3820 MB, type= Bh   (Unknown)
/dev/hdb2, 8597 MB, type= 5h   (Extended)
/dev/hdb5, 2000 MB, type=83h   (Linux native)
/dev/hdb6, 6596 MB, type= Bh   (Unknown)
****** PARTITION TABLE ******

But when i run the windows explorer, even though it shows "hdb5" as one of
the drives, as soon as i try accessing it thru the dos shell, or thru
windows explorer, the computer hangs.

The same problem is since i installed IE5 in Win98.

I tried to find a similar utility elsewhere on the net, or an upgrade.

Any suggestions??
