OffTopic: Quick Question on VxPro+ motherboard ...

Hi,

Thought I'd ask this here and in a coupla other places before I do
something rash like flashing my BIOS with some unknown file !!

I have a VXPro+-USB-Ultra-2A5LDH09C-00 motherboard that has
1. Socket 7 support allowing upto 384MB RAM (4 SIMM and 2 DIMM of 64MB each)
at a speed not greather than 83MHz, actual tested stable speed not
   greater than 66MHz.
2. that has according to the manual, support only for 8.2GB HDD.
3. and a host of other things

I'm having a couple of problems with the MB. The voltage specs for SIMM and
DIMM support ask me to set it to 3.5V and 5.5V respectively. Any idea how
I am supposed to configure it if I use it in combination ?? Using the two
in combination leads to complete machine freeze in about 15-20mins of use.

Also, any idea/experience in configuring 20GB HDDs with this motherboard ??
The manual says that it can support only 8.2G.

I have tried contacting the motherboard manufacturer's support group with
no luck (probably Christmas season ??!!) and also the support person of an
exclusive non official site on the VxPro+ with no luck.

I'm running short of options in upgrading my motherboard to higher RAM
and HDD capacity and have to either shell out relatively large amounts
of money for "obsolete" hardware or do a total upgrade (cost >20K for some
decent config).

Pass on your suggestions. Do let me know of any other alias which might
cater to such a question, if you happen to know of such.

Thanks,
Sudhir.P
