This is a fork bomb. It repeatedly forks your shell and makes your system run
out of resources.

Your computer will crash due to running out of swap and process table entries.

To protect yourself against such moronic activity, set resource limits on your
system. Look at /etc/security/limits.conf on debian machines or its counter
parts on other distros.

Alternately this kernel module may help - http://rexgrep.tripod.com/rexfbd.htm
but I recommend against using this on a production system. Tailor limits.conf
instead.
