squid is probably not a good solution for dial up user(s). it may do the
job, but there are likely better solutions. squid shines where a number of
users are making requests and there are a handful of servers that service
these requests. wwwoffle (sp.?) is probaly a much better solution for a
small number of users who share a dial up connection. or at least, that is
what my dial-up friends tell me.
