learning linux

Different people like differing books. So the best suggestion would
be to go to a good book store and look at all the candidates and then
pick the best. There are quite a few books on linux out there today.
Since you are serious about linux you can ignore the "Dummy" series
books.
I believe that the "unleashed" books are fairly comprehensive (I have
never read any linux books myself) and are also reasonably priced.
