bringing equipment into iit campus for demo

hi all,

(in particular, mk saravanan); bringing equipment into iit is not a
problem - only taking it out will be :-). seriously, all one has to do is
to show the equipment to the security at the gate and inform them that the
equipment is for a demo and is to be taken back. they will then give a
slip (the same slip may be used as the vehicle pass also) with the details
of the equipment on it; they will take the description from you. when
leaving the campus, the slip will have to be surrendered to the security
at the exit gate. if you overlooked getting this endorsement at the time
of entry, it is not a major problem. i can take care of it (will take a
little time - perhaps, 1/2 hour or so).
