so, luggies, the question is a bit more complex than it may appear to be.
it all depends on what on means by a vsnl server. the incorrect and
already posted answer is that vsnl used to have un-spam-proofed servers
etc etc. but looking at the specific problem reported by the user, i think
a different answer is in order. the address in question, m35.blah appears
to me to be a ppp type dynamically assigned address (we do have vsnl
inside
techies on the list; perhaps, they can confirm this). in which case, it is
quite ok if that address is blacklisted. it only means that dialup
customers would have to route mail through some other vsnl smtp
(relay) host and
not try to directly deliver from their machine. one need be concerned only
if any of the main vsnl smtp hosts are blacklisted since only that means
that one cannot send mail to those sites from vsnl.
