syslogd message

Upon upgrading our server from RHL5.1 to 5.2, we found that some messages
do not get logged and comes to the console.

-------

It used to go into the 'dmesg' file; now not going...

The syslog.conf (which is the same one we used without any problem in 5.1)
is attached.

Anything has to be changed here?

Now we have another problem...

On all login seesions with our server using RHL5.2, all of a sudden we got
a message as follows.

The kernel log has the following.

I know this is coz of the *.emerg line, but what does this indicate?

TIA
