Real Player 5.0 is based on a bug in the sound subsystem of kernel 2.0.x.
This bug has been fixed in 2.2.x and hence RP 5.0 does not work. The
updated version is now available (RP 6.1 G2). If you are interested, edit
rvplayer binary (or) download "rpopen" and preload it before running
rvplayer.
