Re: problems installing kernel 2.4.1

   I think the kernel size (bzImage) is more than 800kb . If it is that then
you will not able to boot with that Image. One more think in make menuconfig
you will some supports which are not needed. try with the following
make clean
make mrproper
make menuconfig
make dep
 make bzImage 
make modules
make modules_install
then it is good and in make menuconfig you can remove the options like
firewall_support ,amterure radio support,joy stick support, sound support like
that some options you can remove and try . It will solve your problem.
