printf vs printk

hi all,
        I was not able to understand
        the funda on printf vs printk(WHY???)

        These are some of the fundas came over me
         ( varargs
           actual available stack is only 4k+
           stack manuplation is simpler 
         )

        Can anyone give me a correct funda on this??
