basically the cgi runs as user nobody, so user nobody shud hav write
permissions to the file, if u wan't to write to it!!! also the script has to
be executable by all too, for this reason!!!

the best method is to have a subdirectory owned by nobody! that way your
script can read/write and create any number of files!!
