Re: [LI] Undelete in Linux

Hi

Midnight Commander (mc) does offer an undelete facility for ext2fs.
Run mc and select "Undelete files" from the Command menu.

The only problem is that it shows you all the files (file fragments) which
were deleted from your file system from time immemorial including all those
temporary files created by the system !. (No filenames or reference to
directories - since that info is already lost while deleting the files ).
It might help if you sort the resultant filelist by Access Time (or Modify
time) and look at all the fragments with an Access (or Modify) time
somewhere close to that of the file you deleted.
