Since kernel 2.2, Linux uses any amount of swap, even if it is more than
127MB. You need to do nothing at all to kick that off.

Try runnin "free" to see what the usage is. Are you sure that swap is
*enabled* (using "swapon" - typically run from the initialisation files in
/etc/rc.d?
