Linux Management
----------------
With the rapidly increasing number of Linux servers deployed as File,
Print, Web and Network servers, there has been a corresponding
increase in the demand for Linux System and Network Administrators to
coordinate what Linux does best: Seamlessly integrate and distribute
services across a heterogenous network. A Network Administrator's job
today, is made many times easier than what it was, primarily due to
the abundant availability of easy-to-use network management utilities
on the Linux platform. While skill acquired over years of managing
large and complex networks and a fierce motivation to experiment and
analyse are still valued pre-requisites, much of it can still be
learnt from top-notch system administrators and integrators who have
walked that path before.
How can this course help you?
-----------------------------
This course is a natural follow-up to the first Introductory Course on
Linux conducted by the ACI and brings together a team of experts with
long standing experience as network managers, integrators, developers

wealth of experience in setting-up and successfully managing both
small local-area as well as national wide-area networks.
The course content has been carefully designed keeping in view, the
requirements of modern day enterprise, at various scales: small,
medium and large. Beginning with system configuration, tuning and
optimisation, the course takes the participant through the process of
setting up and managing different network services. It also includes a
module on setting up a database server using the Oracle Database
Engine and using the Oracle Application Server on the Linux Platform.
