[LI] File Descriptors

Hello,

It appears that I am running out of file descriptors cuz i get the message:
"Too many files open"
I have tried increasing the soft limit, but I think its not sufficient. How
do I increase the hard limit? Do I have to rebuild the kernel? If so, pls
provide me the steps for the reconfig, with a comfortably higher number of FD.
