if u use dos/win, use 

rawrite to copy  /images/boot.img on your linux distri cd to a floppy

rawrite is available in /dosutils/

on a linux system, after u moun tyour distri cd on /mnt/cdrom,

dd if = /mnt/cdrom/images/boot.img
