set your sn2000 card to ne2000 mode (i.e non plug&play) using with the
driver floppy you got with it..

set io to 300
and set irq to 5 or 10 whatever

and configure your linux to use ne2000 card..

you have to load ne2000 module for this to work

 you have to edit a file in /etc directory.. (refer the documention
net-howto for this)
