I guess u can easily use any of the available hindi fonts in TTF format.

You can use these TTF fonts on Linux too as u have that ttf font put in the
X-Windows directory.
You would have to put the font on ur server to be downloadable and maybe u
could put instructions on how to install that font on different platforms.
