Hi to Everyone on the list,

Why the hell on this planet Earth, no one is coming out with free drivers
for The Yamaha YMF724 PCI card ??
Is it that difficult to write drivers for a soundcard ?? or are the drivers
available on some other Distro's ??
If any one of u know about a driver (NOT the OSS - $20 Chuna) Please notify
the LI list.
RH 6.1 probes the card (autodetects  it), but then, it says, "Yamaha PCI
card not supported !!". :-(

Also, has any one tried to load the DOS drivers(boot to dos), then start
linux ?? I read this somewhere, but I was unsuccessful.

As someone on this list rightly said

I know many people how have Removed LINUX - Reason: NO sound , Yamaha
YMF724 card. !!

Please help.
