Hi

 I think there is error in file system type specified for CD. Please check
in /etc/inittab whether CD file system in specified as iso9660(Or similar.
Not sure) and not as vfat etc. Because all file in your 'ls -al' output
are listed to have executable. This is typically noticed while accessing
the FAT partitions. So please check out.
