Dear Mr. Subba Rao,

There is a program which will convert rpms to targgz "rpm2targz" in the
slackware distribution.  u can use that tool to convert rpms to tar files.
I have not used the package so far.  

The latest Slackware i.e., Slackware 7.0 (glibc based) package even
included an unsupported rpm tool in its distribution.
