Please refer to /usr/doc/Linux-mini-HOWTOs/RPM+Slackware-README1st.
Volkerding recommends converting RPM  to tgz using rpm2tgz. This command
is available Slackware. It takes a few seconds to do the job. Then
install the tarball with installpkg or pkgtool.
