I had a similar problem...actually the reverse! I wanted to mount my
/dev/hda5 (the entire primary hdd) under /home/oracle and guess what? It had
acess only to user 'oracle'. Does that give u a hint? Maybe. Try the
following from root:
chown user.group /ddrive

Let me now if it worked.
