[LI] Win/Linux and StarOffice

Hi List,

Pardon my lack of knowledge. Just now a mail from Vibhurishi enlightened
me that staroffice can handle MS word.doc and MS excel.xls files on the
fly.
All the bad experiences are welcome.

The only reason why I wished to have windows95/NT on my machine was
because I wanted to be able to run these two appliactions [and to be
able to access people's doc/xls files] from MS office 97 for some
commercial reasons. Now that I am told that it is possible to have
starOffice view/edit these files, there is absolutely NO reason for me
to try and load win95 or something like that...

Those who have some experience and conclusively opine, are most welcome
to write to me personally at rohits@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx to let me know
about...

1. Which version of staroffice will work on RHL 6.1
2. Where it can be found, in addition to the website as I do not have
net access but do have access to PCQ/CHIP CDs.
3. All/any good/bad experiences.

Thanks a million. Eagerly awaiting your response.
