I just wanted to share this thought ... *I* always connect from tty1 thro'
6 , and NOT the GUI because occasionaly , when I'm playing around and
something crashes , a situation may arise whereby I would have to kill the
X server and restart with a <Ctrl-Alt-Bksp> . And if I had connected from
under KDE , I would get disconnected for killing my Server and restarting.
  This can cause some miniscule amounts of pain , whereby it could be
avoided if you had connected from the console :D
