Re: [LI] Ooops

In the article at  http://www.bangaloremag.com/stories/nov11/linux.htm
there is
the following statement:

 "Well, the software is available free, but it is for the installations
and the services that we
  charge. For some specific services that we render with Linux we charge
the arm and the leg; and
  for some others, you better have a surname like Ambani to afford it,"
Chitnis replied.

  We don't know if Linus Torvald would approve.

<rant>
Why does people think Linux belongs to Linus or 'the core group' or Red
Hat ... It
belongs to _us_ (the community) and I do not need the approval from
anybody to
do anything with it. I feel that the core value of _free software_
hasn't got into
the people yet.
</rant>

I could have written to the author directly but could not get his e-mail
id.
