[LI] gpm errors.

As I have written before, somehow, the mouse and keyboard become verry
sluggish in X. I have configured my logitech mouse as Generic 3button
(serial).

I found the following in /var/log/messages. Can someone please explain the
meaning and the action to be taken ?

gpm [438]: Socket too old in processConn
gpm [438]: no data
gpm [438]: skipping a packet (?)
gpm [438]: error in protocol

these messages are repeated several times.

can someone shed some light on this ?
