On my SuSE 6.2 box I find the following:

/usr/doc/packages/ncurses/ncurses-intro.html
/usr/doc/packages/ncurses/ncures-intro.doc

/usr/doc/packages/ncurses/hackguide.doc
/usr/doc/packages/ncurses/terminfo.src

On a RedHat box, you might find something similar in

/usr/doc/ncurses-XXX/*
