[LI] RHL 6.1 installation fiasco

Am I the only one in the world having problems with upgrading to RHL 6.1
from the PCQ CD?

I am a Linux neonate and installation of RHL 5.2 about a month ago was easy
and pleasant. Several attempts at upgrading to 6.1 have left me with a hung
computer and a dark blue screen (much like Windows blue sceen of death). I
have tried all the installation options, and each time all goes well until
I get to the options and choose the method (i.e. Graphical, text mode,
expert or kickstart). It then appears as though my hardware is recognised,
after which the blue screen appears. Fortunately a reboot lands me back in
a fully functional RHL 5.2.

My machine is no great shakes: P100, 16 MB 2.1 GB split midway to hold W95
and Linux with a LILO boot option, and a very ordinary Cirrus Logic card.
