I ~have~ to PGP sign my messages - I run the perpetual risk of
some spammer forging my mails. It happened just yesterday -
someone forged a mail in my name, leading to a free email provider
deleting my acct.

I ~never~ said MIME is evil - all of us use it all the time. Hassle -
on a html digested list, it gets to be painful.

The option is to use a MIME/DIGEST - in which several ordinary
mails are grouped together in one huge mail, so that each has its
headers intact.

This is valid based on the RFCs and was introduced ages ago, just to
remove the inadequacies of HTML digests as defined in RFC 1153.
This is common on several Listserv lists.

To implement this, you also have to use full headers in the
digestified version - making the message size nearer 60k than 40k

A small price to pay - 20 k more or less does not exactly count.

UUEncode looks quite messy too on some mailers, which do not
display it as an attachment but as "begin 644 .... [start junk chars]"
and so on.

Why is the alphabet in that order? Is it because of that song?
