Subject: [LI] HELP: US Robotics 56k Modem on RH 5.2

| Hi
| Syed Khader Vali helped me set up RH 5.2 today (I've been a user
| all these days, with no concept of installing / admin of Linux, been
| on WinDOZE / NT .....)
| ... ok, prodigal son / subah ka bhoola sentiments aside, a small
| problem has cropped up.
| Sid used kppp to set up my modem - and when the modem tries to
| connect, the login string ATZJ0 appears and the modem just stops
| and gives up.
| Both of us have seen the AT command set for the USR Sportster
| 33.6 modem (not having the 56k model) - there's no mention of a
| J0 or any other J command anywhere, afaict.
| Could some kind soul on this list help out?
