This has nothing to do with passwords - you need to enable the pop3
service in /etc/inited.conf, then run "killall -HUP inetd". Naturally I
assume that you have installed imap/pop3 support (rpm -ivh
/mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/imap*.rpm).
