[LI] RPM's in Slackware

Hi,
  I run slackware 4.0. The problem is that all the
stuff on PCQ and CHIP come in rmp's . now i have
tried installing "RPM for slackware" twice but it just
screwed up my system. Is there any way in which i can use RPM's
under slackware without using "RMP for slackware"
