[LI] wvdial and kppp

I was working well with kppp for connecting to internet. I just wanted
to try wvdial. Now I can get connected with wvdial. But with kppp i get
msg "pppd died unexpectedly". When i read kppp help file for lock it
states,
Make sure that you don't use the option "lock" to pppd if you want kppp
to lock the modem, since the pppd option "lock" will induce pppd to try
to lock the modem device. However since kppp already locked the device
pppd will fail and kppp will display "pppd died unexpectedly". 
I feel now wvdial has created some where pppd option for lock. How to
find out and rectify the problem.
Further with kvoice, though TR signal was there, i could use kppp when
wvdial was not there. Now I got a msg that modem is used by another
device in wvdial and sorry cannot create modem lock file in kppp. I
commented in inittab vgetty line this problem is solved. Is ther any
other method to avoid this problem. Hence Icannot use kvoice now.
