this is no longer required with XFree > 3.3.3
just install the XFree86 and run the xf86config. from the card list select
SG86C205.  in the XF86config add the line Chipset "sg86c205 " . u can get 24
bit true color at 800 x 600 , 1024 x 768 at 16 bpp and 8 bpp
