NeoMagic is indeed supported by the SVGA driver of XFree86 (XF86_SVGA). I have
installed RHL5.2 & RHL6.0 on an ACER notebook and it autodetected the neomagic
card. I had chosen 800x600 and 16 bit color (Don't probe). The problem may not
be in your card.. Look into the monitor specs (or whatever) and select the
custom monitor option . If you don't have it(monitor specs) , then choose a safe
value for HSync and VSync freq value. It should work !
