[LI] samba troubles

I've trying join a server linux into Domain windows NT with the command 

smbpasswd -j 'domain name' -r 'pdc of the domain'

but I've receiving the following the message

modify_trust_password: can´t resolve address for 'pdc of the domain'

1999/08/20 10:00:00 change_trust_account_password: Failed to change password for domain 'domain name'

Unable to join domain 'domain name'

can you help me?
