[LI] x11amp - problems

Hi,
  3 problems to go :
    a] I mounted my win partition from linux - /dev/hda - i think ....and i
opened up x11amp from my Gnome start menu ... and when i tried to open an
mp3 ... the system just hung ... and believe it or not...i couldnt even do a
Ctrl C or shift to another virtual terminal and login as root , do a ps -u
ravi and do a killall -KILL <pid> etc... i had to do a ctrl+alt+del ... so
why isnt x11amp recognising my mp3s ? where's the problem ? Correction ?
b] I wanted an alias that looks like this..... alias l='logout' ,...
and if i type that the : .. i can do an 'l' to logout in that session...how
do i save it and use it for all future sessions ? like alias c='clear' as
well...
c] I noticed that my backspace key works perfectly fine in shell .. i
dont have to do any
: stty erase <bksp> which gives me : stty erase ^H .... it works
fine....but when i'm running GNOME .. I cant get the <bksp> key to work ...
help wanted!
TIA and sorry to annoy any linux gurus with trivial questions... ;)
  Regards,
  Ravi.
