Re: [LI] Debian Reboot

Hello Syed,

There is no sound support on the default Debian kernel. U need to
recompile the kernel with the appropriate sound modules. Hey Thaths, is
there a story as to why sound is disabled by default?

	I have this in /etc/modules
- --snip--
noauto
sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1 dma16=5 mpu_io=0x330
awe_wave io=0x620
- --snip--

The above will force load the sound modules during bootup.
Alternatively, u can dynamically load modules by using aliases. But i
find it a little unreliable.

I agree with Thaths, update-rc.d does an excellent job though it takes
a little figuring out.

HTH,
Shanu.
